Darrin Kennedy, LEED® AP | Executive Managing Director

Darrin Kennedy is Executive Managing Director and co-leader of the Integrated Real Estate Solutions (IRES) group. Mr. Kennedy leads IRES’ Public Sector practice, which has provided substantial real estate and financial advisory services to government agencies with significant emphasis on the U.S. federal government over the past seven years.

In this capacity, Mr. Kennedy utilizes his sixteen plus years of cross-disciplinary and cross-border consulting expertise to deliver comprehensive financial advisory services primarily to government entities. In an environment of constrained fiscal resources, federal, state, and local governments are constantly examining methods for extracting value from real estate assets. Mr. Kennedy’s strong, multi-faceted background in investment banking, real estate consulting, and federal leasing and privatization allows for the delivery of customized business processes and solutions to public sector clientele. Mr. Kennedy’s efforts have resulted in optimizing the use of real estate assets, generating significant savings to valued federal and state agency clients.

RELATED PROJECTS | ASSIGNMENTS | EXPERIENCE

Mr. Kennedy joined Colliers International in 2001 and has primarily specialized in providing financial advisory and consulting services to federal government agencies. Mr. Kennedy served as engagement leader on multiple Department of the Army contracts, under which IRES provided comprehensive real estate consulting, lease procurement, and financial advisory services to the Army relative to the development of its Build-To-Lease program in Korea. In particular, under the Korea BTL Program, Mr. Kennedy provided end-to-end lease procurement and financial advisory services to the Army in connection with the 144-unit UOQ Build-to-Lease project located at K-16 Airfield in Seongnam, Korea., the first BTL project completed for the Army in Korea. Mr. Kennedy performed services under these contracts from mid-2002 to 2008.

From early 2002 to mid-2004, Mr. Kennedy also directed IRES’s efforts as a contractor to the Department of Defense (DoD) relative to its housing privatization activities under the Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI). Colliers Seeley’s housing privatization support services were primarily focused on providing financial advisory and procurement services to the Department of the Army and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in connection with its Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) Program to privatize family housing at Army installations throughout the United States.
